1. Installing of Macro Defects in Steel on Windows PCs
------------------------------------------------------

Before you install and run the Macro Defects in Steel, you should check the following minimum system requirements:

- Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11,
- RAM: Recommended 1 Gb or greater,
- Hard disk free space: 600 Mb,
- Recommended screen resolution: 800 x 600 pixels or higher,
- Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Microsoft Edge.
 
In order to install the Macro Defects in Steel, please download and open the corresponding file from the links:

Once the download has finished, please uncompress the zip-file into some directory.
Note: All zip files was tested by the ESET program.


2. Installation and Running the Software

Installing the full version:
1. Download the Macro Defects in Steel from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/macro/html/download.html.
2. In the directory Downloads, double click the file macro.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder Macro_Defects_Steel.
3. Copy the folder Macro_Defects_Steel into the directory C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder Macro_Defects_Steel, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.
7. Right click on file index.html, then create Shortcut. Cut this Shortcut into the Windows Desktop. Reneme this Shortcut into the name Macro Defects in Steel.

Installing the demo version:
1. Download the Macro Defects in Steel from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/macro/html/demo.html.
2. In the directory Downloads, double click the file macro_demo.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder Macro_Defects_Steel_Demo.
