1. Installing of Steel Metal and Semiconductor Etchants on Windows PCs
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you install and run the Metal and Semiconductor Etchant, you should check the following minimum system requirements:

- Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11,
- RAM: Recommended 1 Gb or greater,
- Hard disk free space: 600 Mb,
- Recommended screen resolution: 800 x 600 pixels or higher,
- Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Microsoft Edge.
 
In order to install the Metal and Semiconductor Etchant, please download and open the corresponding file from the links:

     https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/download.html
     https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/demo.html

Once the download has finished, please uncompress the zip-file into some directory.
Note: All zip files was tested by the ESET program.


2. Installation and Running the Software
----------------------------------------

Installing the full version:
1. Download the Metal and Semiconductor Etchants from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/download.html.
2. In the directory Downloads, double click the file ms.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder MS_etchants.
3. Copy the folder MS_etchants into the directory C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder MS_etchants, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.
7. Right click on file index.html, then create Shortcut. Cut this Shortcut into the Windows Desktop. Reneme this Shortcut into the name Metal Etchants.

Installing the demo version:
1. Download the Metal and Semiconductor Etchants from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/demo.html.
2. In the directory Downloads, double click the file ms_demo.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder MS_etchants_demo.
3. Copy the folder MS_etchants_demo into the directory C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder MS_etchants_demo, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.
7. Right click on file index.html, then create Shortcut. Cut this Shortcut into the Windows Desktop. Reneme this Shortcut into the name Metal Etchants.


3. Uninstallation of Metal and Semiconductor Etchant

1. Delete the Shortcut  Metal and Semiconductor Etchants and directory MS_etchants or MS_etchants_demo in your computer.
