1. Installing of Metal and Semiconductor Etchants on Linux PCs
--------------------------------------------------------------

Before you install and run the Metal Etchants, you should check the following minimum system requirements:

- OpenSuse, Debian, Slackware, Fedora, Gentoo, Ubuntu,
- RAM: Recommended 2 Gb RAM or greater,
- Hard disk free space: 600 Mb,
- Recommended screen resolution: 800 x 600 pixels or higher,
- Browser Mozilla, Safari or any other browser which support the Java script.

In order to install the Metal Etchants, please download the zip file from the web site:

     https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/download.html
     https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/demo.html

Once the download has finished, please unzip the zip-file into the directory.
Note: All zip files was tested by the ESET program.


2. Installation and Running the Software
----------------------------------------

Installing the full version:
1. Download the ms.zip from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/download.html.
2. In the folder Downloads, double click the file ms.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder MS_etchants.
3. Copy the folder MS_etchants into the folder C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder MS_etchants, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.
7. Right click on desktop, then Create New and link to application (index.html file).

Installing the demo version:
1. Download the ms_demo.zip from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/ms/html/demo.html.
2. In the folder Downloads, double click the file ms_demo.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder MS_etchants_demo.
3. Copy the folder MS_etchants_demo into the folder C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder MS_etchants_demo, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.
7. Right click on desktop, then Create New and link to application (index.html file).


3. Uninstallation of Metal and Semiconductor Etchants 
-----------------------------------------------------

1. Move the folder MS_etchants or MS_etchants_demo and Shortcut into the Trash.
