1. Installing of Steel Semiconductor Etchants on Windows PCs
------------------------------------------------------------

Before you install and run the Semiconductor Etchants, you should check the following minimum system requirements:

- Microsoft Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11,
- RAM: Recommended 1 Gb or greater,
- Hard disk free space: 500 Mb,
- Recommended screen resolution: 800 x 600 pixels or higher,
- Browser Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 or higher, Microsoft Edge.
 
In order to install the Semiconductor Etchants, please download and open the corresponding file from the links:

     https://www.steeldata.info/semi/html/download.html
     https://www.steeldata.info/semi/html/demo.html

Once the download has finished, please uncompress the zip-file into some directory.
Note: All zip files was tested by the ESET program.


2. Installation and Running the Software
----------------------------------------

Installing the full version:
1. Download the Semiconductor Etchants from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/semi/html/download.html.
2. In the directory Downloads, double click the file semi.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder Semi_etchants.
3. Copy the folder Semi_etchants into the directory C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder Semi_etchants, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.
7. Right click on file index.html, then create Shortcut. Cut this Shortcut into the Windows Desktop. Reneme this Shortcut into the name Semiconductor Etchants.

Installing the demo version:
1. Download the Semiconductor Etchants from the web site https://www.steeldata.info/semi/html/demo.html.
2. In the directory Downloads, double click the file semi_demo.zip and extract (unzip) the files into the folder Semi_etchants_demo.
3. Copy the folder Semi_etchants_demo into the directory C, D or anywhere on your hard disc.
4. In the folder Semi_etchants_demo, open the file index.html with the your browser.
5. Bookmark this page.
6. You may also create the 'Shortcut" to the Desktop.

3. Uninstallation of Semiconductor Etchants

1. Delete the Shortcut  Semiconductor Etchants and directory Semi_etchants or Semi_etchants_demo in your computer.
