Heat Treatment
Hardening: 880-900 C/oil
Tempering: During tempering, the surface of the molds must be protected against decarburization and oxidation. Heat slowly and evenly at (100 C/h) until 400°C and then at most 300 C/h to the temperature of austenitization, between 880 and 900 C. Keep in temperature until complete homogenization of every piece. The cooling must be carried out in oil suitable for tempering, stirred and heated between 40 and 70 C until the mold temperature reaches 100 C. Then cool to the calm air between 50 and 70 C.
