Applications: Dies of all kind for hammer and press forging of steel; tools for extrusion presses, such as press stems (up to medium specific pressures), mandrel holders, supports; shear blades; hot stamping dies for aluminium alloys; piercing tools for steel tube production.

Heat Treatment
Hardening: Temperature: 850-900°C, quenching: oil or polymer (interrupt at appr. 150°C); or vacuum hardening; 880-900°C, quenching: forced air.
Tempering: Temperature: 400-700°C
