1.4541 Steel
Steel name: 1.4541
Diagram No.: 2381
Mat.No. (Wr.Nr.) designation: 1.4541
DIN designation: X6CrNiTi 18-10
AISI/SAE designation: X6CrNiTi 18-10
JIS designation: 321
Chemical composition in weight %: max. 0.08% C, 17.00-19.00% Cr, 9.00-12.00% Ni, >5C (max. 0.7) Ti
Steel group: Austenitic stainless steels
Properties: Chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel stabilised with titanium. 1.4541 displays excellent resistance to corrosion in most natural waters (rural and industrial), pro-vided the chloride, salt and concentrations of hydrochloric and organic acids are low. Since this grade of stainless steel is still resistant to intergranular corrosion after welding, i.e. in the sensitised condition, corrosion testing in accor-dance with the following corrosion testing specifi-cations, are sufficient to establish resistance to corrosion.
Applications: Automotive industry, building and construction industry, chemical industry, food and beverage industry, aviation and aerospace, mechanical engineering.
Reference: Not shown in this demo version.
