Properties: AWS is a high alloyed hot-work tool steel with an austenitic structure. By forging below the recrystallization temperature or by a special heat treatment, the operational strength of approx. 1000 MPa is achieved.
Applications: Dies in extrusion for processing copper and its alloys in the production of rods, tubes and simple profiles. Tools for processing sinter powders.
