RM10Co (1.2888) Steel

Steel name: RM10Co (1.2888)
Diagram No.: 2498
Mat.No. (Wr.Nr.) designation: 1.2888
DIN designation: X20CoCrWMo10-9
Chemical composition in weight %: 0.20% C, 0.20% Si, 0.50% Mn, 9.50% Cr, 2.00% Mo, 5.50% W, 10.00% Co
Steel group: Hot work tool steels
Properties: RM10Co is a high alloyed hot-work tool steel with extremely high tempering resistance. RM10Co is suitable for particular requirements in respect of hot wear resistance and resistance against molten metals.
Applications: Tools for extrusion such as press dies for steel and heavy metal processing, as well as spider tools and frame tools for processing copper and its alloys. Mold plates for brass pressure die casting. Valves. Cores and filling sets. Dies for hot-extrusion. Filling sets in magnesium die casting in hot chamber machines. Filling sets for Thixomolding. Punches for steel forming. Screws and barrels for Thixomolding. Inserts in filling sleeves under high thermal load. Water cooling is not possible.
Reference: Not shown in this demo version.
