HWF (1.2779) Steel

Steel name: HWF (1.2779)
Diagram No.: 2516
Mat.No. (Wr.Nr.) designation: 1.2779
DIN designation: X6NiCrTi26-15
Chemical composition in weight %: <0.08% C, <1.00% Si, <1.10% Mn, 15.00% Cr, 1.50% Mo, 26.00% Ni
Steel group: Austenitic stainless steels
Properties: HWF is an austenitic, age-hardenable steel with excellent high-temperature strength properties. Preferred areas of application are forming operations with high heat input, when the tempering resistance of martensitic steels is not sufficient.
Applications: Extrusion press tools for copper and copper alloys such as inner liners, dies, spider tools. Hot shear blades in rolling lines.
Reference: Not shown in this demo version.
