Applications: The Steel is used for special tooling applications, mainly produced from sheets, like tufting knives and loopers in the carpet industry or special slotting cutters or woodworking knives. Produced from forged bars, applications are known where on tools with intricate shape highest dimensional stability is requested under operational load and at elevated temperatures, e.g. for the cages of spinning pumps.

Heat Treatment
Hardening: 1220 – 1260 °C, oil /gas-stream /salt bath (550 °C).
Tempering: 550 – 570 °C.
