Alloy name: RR1000
Diagram No.: 1089
Type of diagram: TTT
Chemical composition in weight %: 14.35-15.15% Cr, 14.0-19.0% Co, 4.25-5.25% Mo, 2.85-3.15% Al, 3.45-4.15% Ti, 1.35-2.15% Ta, 0.0-1.0% Hf, 0.05-0.07% Zr, 0.012-0.033% C, 0.01-0.025% B, balance is Ni
Alloy group: Nickel-based alloys
Note: Experimentally determined TIT curves for sigma phase precipitation in RR1000.
Apart from intergranular precipitation of sigma phase it is possible that prolonged elevated ageing treatments may result in coarsening of fine secondary Gamma’ precipitates. Examination of Gamma' using carbon extract replicas was carried out of a specimen exposed to approximately the nose position of the 2 wt% curve in figure. The average Gamma' particle size over this period was found to be 228 nm (average size in the as-heat-treated alloy was measured as 225 nm).
