20NiCrMo2-2 Steel

Steel name: 20NiCrMo2-2
Diagram No.: 1522
DIN designation: 20NiCrMo2-2
Chemical composition in weight %: 0.19-0.23% C, 0.20-0.35% Si, 0.70-0.90% Mn, max. 0.015% P, 0.008-0.015% S, 0.40-0.60% Cr, 0.40-0.70% Ni, 0.15-0.25% Mo
Steel group: Case hardening steels
Applications: (Bearing Quality) is a bearing quality clean steel optimized for fatigue strength by a strict control of steel cleanliness. BQ-steel is also ideal for new design solutions in a wide array of demanding applications outside the bearing industry that require longer performance and higher loads. The BQsteel offer is the result of the Ovako clean steel program. Purity of production means that the material has significantly smaller inclusions compared to conventional steel and, as a result, the fatigue strength of the steel is increased dramatically. Use of the material allows components to be manufactured in smaller sizes.
Comment: 20NiCrMo2-2+H shows the Jominy band accordig to EN 10083:2008. Jominy hardenability according to ASTM A255. The graph also shows the average values +/- 1 standard deviation for steel grade 152G and 152C. Ms=405 C, Ac1=723 C, Ac3=812 C.
