Etchant (Electrolyte) Composition: The specimens were chemically polished for about 2 min in the E [H2O (10 cm3) : HNO3 (5cm3) : K2Cr2O7 (2 g)] reagent
to remove lapping damage. A variety of etchants have been used to etching but the four most commonly known etchants
are EAg1, EAg2, E and B. Table 1 shows the effect of etchants on Te and Cd surface.
