Note: CrO3 phase is common in ferrochromium inclusions. Single phase inclusions are idiomorphic with plane surfaces, hexagonal or regular in section. Cr galaxite and Cr2O3 are microscopically similar, but the former has a lower microhardness and is isotropic.
