Etchant (Electrolyte) Composition: 35 g AgCN, 30-70 g KCN, 38-40 g K2CO3, 1000 ml distilled water.
Procedure (Condition): Current density: a: 1.1 A/dm2, voltage dc: 1.5 V, time: 20 min. b: 1.0 A/dm2, voltage dc: 2.5-3.0 V, temperature: 20 C, time: 10 min.
Note: Use silver for cathode and anode lead wires. Samples not preground. Find optimum conditions by trial. Slow stirring. Shuttleworth and coworkers.
