Etchant (Electrolyte) Composition: 15 ml HCl, 5 ml HNO3.
Procedure (Condition): Use fresh. Use at 20 Celsius for about 5 seconds. Do not store.
Note: For etching austenitic stainless steels. Attacks siga, outlines carbides. After 20 seconds siga completely dissolved. Reveals grain boundaries.
