Etchant (Electrolyte) Composition: 100 ml distilled water, 5 ml sulfuric acid (Baumann print).
Procedure (Condition): Silver bromide paper is satured with solution, and firmly pressed against the prepared surface. After 1-5 min, rinse fic (6 g sodium thiosulfate in 100 ml water), wash and dry.
Note: Verification, arrangemnet, and distribution of Fe and Mn sulfide inclusions. Sulfide reacts with sulfuric acid, froming hydrogen sulfide which combines to darkish silver sulfide with the silver from the silver bromide in the photographic paper.
