Chemical composition in weight %: 0.81% C, 0.017% S, 0.31% Si, 1.11% Cr, 0.12% Ni, 0.19% V, 1.94% W, 0.12% Cu, 0.41% Mn, 0.08% Mo, 0.012% P.
Electrolyte: 3% KBr in distilled water H2O (108 g KBr + 3492 ml H2O, 54 g KBr + 1750 ml H2O)+5 ml HCl in chatodic space.
Anode: Sample.
Cathode: Grid from the Pt.
Reference electrode: Calomel.
Experimental conditions: U(start)=-480 mV, U=360 mV, I6.22=680 mA, I12.10=540 mA.
Time: 5.88 hours.
Results: Sample weight before dissolution: 48.698 g, sample weight after dissolution: 44.374 g, difference: 4.324 g, weight of extraction residues: 0.675 g.
Phases in steel: In sample: 30 % M23C6 and 70 % Fe3C, in steel: 4.7% M23C6 and 10.9% Fe3C.
Note: XRD sample preparation, electrolytic phase extraction. Sample is annealed at 740 C.
